Evergen is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Rob Gladstone to the role of Chief Science Officer.
Dr Gladstone will work with Evergen on the development of environmental systems and joins the company as a consultant.
Technical and environmental experience
Dr Gladstone brings a wealth of technical and environmental experience to his role at Evergen.
Having completed post-graduate work in the field of atmospheric chemistry and air pollution he was awarded his doctorate by the University of York in 1995.
Since then Dr Gladstone has managed a number of projects including developing early-stage devices through to market.
As well as managing the development of Evergen’s innovative solution for treating industrial air pollution and odours ‘Excigen’, Dr Gladstone’s role at Evergen is to provide his valuable knowledge and professional insights into urban air pollution so that the company can continue bringing solutions to tackle air pollution to the market.
He says: “The dangers presented by air pollution have not received the attention that they need outside of academic circles. According to a recent WHO report, air pollution is responsible for almost 800,000 premature deaths in Europe each year, more than smoking.
“It’s great to see companies like Evergen get involved, with products that improve the quality of the air that we breathe, and I’m excited to assist in taking their innovative technology from the laboratory out into the wider world.”
